  10. The previous release (1.3ß) have a serious bug. (heavy crash...)
  11. It seems to be ok now.
  12.  
  13. This commodity provide the use of datatypes to old software like Deluxe
  14. Paint, Brilliance, etc...
  15.  
  16. It's the final V1.x release (I hope).
  17. I work on the V2: new features, more options, etc... (see TODO)

  21. HOW: Patch the dos.library/Open function, intercept picture loading and
  22.      convert it in a standard IFF format.
  23.  
  24. REQUIREMENTS: OS 3.0 or higher.
  25.               MC68000 or higher.
  26.  
  27. INSTALLATION: Copy exe/HappyDT to the WBstartup drawer. 
  28.               Copy prefs/HappyDT to the Prefs drawer.
  29.  
  30. CONFIGURATION: Run the Prefs/HappyDT.
  31.                - Tempory file: Select the place where the temp file will
  32.                  be written.
  33.                - Info Window: Popup a window when HappyDT is working.
  34.                - Add: add a task in the task list. (select the prog.)*
  35.                - Delete: delete a task in the task list.
  36.                Each task you add in the list are patched to load not-IFF
  37.                pictures with datatypes (except .info and .font).

  39. USE: Just run HappyDT !
  40.      You can kill/Disable it with Exchange.
  41.  
  42. * NOTE: Most of the time, tasks have the same name that the executable.
  43.         In other case, use a tool like SnoopDos to locate the real name
  44.         of the task.

  46. H&T: To use HappyDT with ADPro, add the task "IFF" to HappyDT's task list.
  47.      Then launch the IFF loader (NOT the universal loader) to load datatype
  48.      images.
  49.      IMPORTANT: Do not add the task "UNIVERSAL" to the task list. The
  50.      Universal loader would use datatypes for ALL images and bypass ADPro's
  51.      own loader modules (JPEG, GIF, etc). (thanks to Randall!)

  53. Tested with: Deluxe Paint IV & V.
  54.              Brilliance.
  55.              ADPro.
  56.              Scala.
  57.              Wordworth.
